Centretown holds a community garage sale that organizers hope will become an annual event to rival the Great Glebe Garage Sale.
OTTAWA — Taking a cue from the Great Glebe Garage Sale, Centretown is getting in on the act with its first community garage sale next Saturday.
More than 100 residents are expected to offer their treasures in what organizer Wynn Quon hopes will become an annual event.
Find everything from home accessories, kitchenware, collectibles and furnishings to clothes, sporting goods, jewelry and more. And if you find something really wacky, enter it in The Weirdest Thing I Bought at the Super Centretown Garage Sale contest.
A portion of proceeds is expected to go toward the non-profit Centretown Community Health Centre.
The sale is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the area bounded by Wellington Street, the Rideau Canal, Bronson Avenue and Catherine Street. There’s no rain date.
For details, visit supercentretown.com, where you’ll also find a link to a map listing sale locations.
